They say beauty will save the world. How exactly does that work?
If something or someone is in need of saving, what factors determine whether it will be or not? How do you make other people care?
Was Yosemite worth saving from real estate developers?
Was the Statue of Liberty worth the copper-workers time to fasten a new torch?
Was Paolo Veronese's The Wedding at Cana worthy of the intensive labor involved in restoring the massive painting's colors and varnish?
Were the 2 million viewers of the Miss Universe pageant justified in tuning in to admire this year's winner, Miss Sheynnis Palacios?
What is it about beauty that stops us in our tracks and cultivates aspirations for improvement?
How do you define beauty?

In my upcoming book, The Beauty First Method, I define beauty as evidence of a life-giving force. A beautiful woman will have different features from a beautiful man, just as the perfect ballroom gown must differ from a handsome uniform. The aesthetic must support the essence of the creature.
To pursue beauty for yourself or your business, you have to know what kind of creature you are and what qualities instantly communicates to others your life-giving force.
UGLY MASKS MANDATED BY UGLY MEN
I remember attending a Health & Welfare Committee Hearing in 2021 where the committee members were discussing public health policy, masks, and Covid. The room was half full of health freedom advocates and moms there to fight for their children's right to go to school without forced masking. It became clear immediately when the committee members themselves started speaking who was in favor of masks and vaccines and who were on the side of breathing freely and avoiding experimental mRNA jabs. The pro-mask members were noticeably obese, suffering from brain fog, and had admitted to suffering from diabetes and other chronic illnesses. The mask and vaccine skeptics on the other hand, were svelte, sharp, and stood out among their peers as better looking with more vitality.
State Health Officer and Louisiana Medical Director Dr. Joseph Kanter showed up wearing two masks, even though he was vaccinated. Committee member Jason Hughes insisted that the entire room put on a mask so that Dr. Kanter would be protected from infection—a display of power and authority that subjugated the mask critics in the room. The visual communication of that altercation made the public health authorities look fearful, weak, and inhumane. It was emasculating and not life-giving in appearance. It was a visual of death and fear.
What is a beautiful man?
The masculine version of a life-giving force must communicate two essential virtues:
1. The ability to provide
2. The ability to protect

The visuals of these videos tell us what RFK cares about: health and nature, strength and transparency. The visuals Dr. Kanter and his goons chose to present themselves with displays of fear, weakness, and paranoia. In fact the history of mask wearing carries major connotations of slavery, satanism, and subjugation.

One of my heroes, Sir Roger Scruton, has gone out of his way to write about aesthetics and the importance of beauty.

When you step into a cathedral, an automatic gratitude should overcome you. Imagine the generosity of a community a hundred years ago or more donating their time and treasure to build a structure so solid multiple generations can gather for weddings, funerals, sacraments, and worship. How could you not say a quiet Thank You to the builders who considered your soul to be so important that they hand painted pillars and gave their savings for stained glass and frescos illustrative of Love & Creation itself, a nod to your sacred value as a human being.
A building like the one above says, I respect you.
Imagine the courtesy of strangers passed, who sought to create a structure with acoustics that would carry the voices of a choir—as close to the angels as we will ever experience on earth.
Christianity has always known the importance of beauty. It has been a critical piece of evangelization. We have led with beauty before we ever were able to explain the truth and good news of the gospels.
